Look at that punum

For those of our regular readers that are not familiar with Brock Lesnar, he essentially is a modern day Viking, walking around at over 300 pounds, he makes his living assaulting people in the modern day Roman coliseum known as the UFC.

However when Lesnar recently came down with a mysterious illness while hunting in Canada, he quickly abandoned one of the best health care systems in the world, for the privatized health care of Bismark, North Dakota. Saying about Canada “It was like I was in a third world country. I had to get out of there.”

It seems this modern day Viking needs gourmet meals and HBO while recovering from a tummy ache.

What a complete buffoon. The story in the Sun says that he was at a remote hunting lodge, and went to a small rural hospital. Then – I’m not making this up – he complains that the small rural hospital wasn’t as good as the Mayo Clinic. And THEN…. his wife drove him PAST the major hospitals in Winnipeg to take him to North Dakota.

Hunting lodges and small towns don’t have major hospitals in America either. It’s a function of population density, not the type of health care system. And if you then drive right past the major hospitals to go to one in another state, you’d look a buffoon in the U.S. too.

You must be Canadian Roger!…. Ive only heard bad things about your health system… like theres only one MRI in the capital… there must be 10000 in DC! USA USA USA!

  3. Roger Strong says:

Yup. We Canadians have heard lots of bad things about our healthcare system – coming from websites on the American right – also. They get the name of the country right, but the rest they simply make up.

Many if not most Canadians know a few Americans, and we hear the healthcare horror stories from the U.S. Which is why polls consistantly show that Canadians overwhelmingly prefer the Canadian system.

And please: Tell us you don’t actually believe that MRI claim….

Dont believe everything Michael Moore says…. he loves his american healthcare and at fat as he is, he should.
